How It All Started… ↓
Born out of the heartfelt mission of the GEM Daughters Network (GDN) to support women and girls impacted by fatherlessness, the Fathering HER Future Conference was birthed as a natural and necessary evolution of our initial Annual Father's Day Retreat. For the past couple of years, the retreat served as a sacred space for reflection, healing, and honoring the deep experiences of daddyless daughters.
As the needs expanded and our conversations deepened, we knew it was time to expand our vision broader and bolder—and reach out to populations within our GEM Nucleus. Hence, the creation of Fathering HER Future to expand the impact—bringing together daughters, fathers, mothers, caregivers, educators, change-makers, and advocates from around the globe to engage in critical conversations, shape policy, and catalyze healing and transformation at every level.
What started as an intimate retreat/gathering of fatherless women has now become a powerful global platform for restoration, advocacy, and transformation. Our commitment remains the same: to close the gap, restore the bond, reclaim the past, reframe the present, and redesign the future—one conversation, one impact, one generation at a time!
